Training notes before the first WingTsun-ChiKung Zoom class

 Health training for advanced movement coordination, 
the development of fluid functional strength and tangible self-confidence. 

Usually a few students are with me "live" while I lead the class via Zoom. I keep the classes small. We usually have between six and twelve participants. People from different parts of Germany, sometimes from Canada, Hong Kong or even Australia.​​ The Zoom training takes place every Wednesday from 6 pm to 7 pm German time.​

- no previous knowledge or experience necessary
- age, state of health, personal fitness do not play a major role
- our oldest participants are around 75 years old
- you can start training at any time
- of course you can start training again after taking break
- most train without shoes and use the sensory experience via the soles of the feet (standing training, body awareness)
- some participants with knee, hip or back problems train sitting on a chair, which does not influence the results
- on some days I send short supporting videos for certain exercises
- you do NOT have to know the ChiKung form before the first training session
- occasionally I send training notes by email in which various aspects are explained or deepened
- during the Zoom I usually switch between German and English in the explanations, many enjoy this as an additional language training bonus

 

The various aspects of our ChiKung form training are continuously evolving.

It is perfectly fine to take a break during the exercises, shake out your arms, rest your shoulders for a moment and drink some water. Even if I say: "Hold the arm... extend the arm..." you are following your intuition. But my intention is to ultimately lead you each time beyond your own limitations!

 

No one can be expected to catch up with the regular weekly participants immediately.

 

Take time, week after week, to develop your skills and abilities. Step by step.​​ Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or comments.​​ One of our mantras is: "Learn to feel what you see. Learn to see what

you feel." WingTsun ChiKung training is an ongoing journey with ups and downs. Never a solo training event.

 

I have been learning, training and teaching this form in all its phases since 1984.

 

It never gets boring. I'm still experiencing improvements.​ Why doesn't it get boring even after decades? Some weeks I push myself so much that I feel like a beginner again. In the best sense of the word! Exciting!
